What Is the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP)?

CDAP Stream 1 offers small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) a $2,400 microgrant to enhance their online presence, build e-commerce sites, and adopt digital tools for a seamless digital transition.

Are You Eligible for CDAP Funding?

Your business may qualify if:

It is for-profit, including social enterprises and cooperatives.

It is registered or incorporated in Canada.

It sells goods or services directly to consumers.

It has at least one employee (not including the owner) or earned $30,000+ in annual revenue last year.

It commits to maintaining a digital adoption strategy for six months.

It agrees to participate in follow-up surveys, share your experience, and have its name published as a grant recipient.

How to Get Your CDAP Grant and
Build Your Website?

Follow these six simple steps to secure your CDAP grant and get a professional website tailored to your business. From identifying your needs to ongoing support, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

1. Identify Your Digital Needs

Book a free discovery call with us! We'll guide you through assessing your digital needs and determine the type of website that best suits your business goals.

2. Plan Your Project

In our second meeting, we’ll present a free wireframe of your new website, giving you a clear vision of what to expect. We’ll also provide an invoice for you to submit to the government as part of your grant application.

3. Development of Operational Excellence Framework

You’ll sign a grant agreement with the government and a project agreement with us to kick off your website development.

4. Build Your Website

Our team starts building your website immediately, and we aim to have it live within 30 business days. We offer unlimited revisions to ensure it’s exactly how you want it.

5. Request Your Payment

Once the website is live and payment is made, you’ll use your receipt to request reimbursement of up to $2,400 from the CDAP grant.

6. Receive Your Funds & Ongoing Support

After grant approval, you’ll receive your funds via electronic transfer. We’ll continue to manage your website, handle hosting, and take care of small updates for only $50 per month to ensure your site stays updated and functional.

Will the micro-grant be disbursed upfront to cover the costs?

No. Your business must provide a copy of the invoices and proof of payment in order to receive a reimbursement of costs.

What proof of expense is necessary from my business to claim the micro-grant?

Your business must provide an invoice of the expense and proof of payment.

Your business must pay for the expense before claiming the micro-grant, and a copy of their invoice will be required to do so. The invoice must be dated after the signature of your grant agreement.

If the invoice is based on monthly payments, your business should make an advance payment for the full $2,400 before claiming the micro-grant. The invoice should show a credit balance.

What documents are required to prove that my company is a registered business?

One (1) of the following:
- Master business license
- Article of incorporation
- GST return from CRA

They prefer that you provide a government document that confirms your business registration. If you provide only a GST/HST number, then this number must be verified via the GST/HST Registry.
